![The Most WTF and Bitchy Diamond Jubilee Tweets by Karl Lagerfeld
This week marks the 60 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II and of course, the high priest of fashion, Karl Lagerfeld had something to say about it. Not only did he go live on French TV as a guest commentator, he and/or his team tweeted throughout the Diamond Jubilee. (Above is his sketch of Her Majesty.) Thanks to Fashionista.com’s translation team, the English-speaking “Internets” can read the mogul’s thoughts on the ceremony…and for the most part, they are bloody hilarious!
Below are a few of my favorite 140 characters-or-less gems:
“For her part, for what she is, it is difficult to see what other outfit the Queen could have worn that would be better.”
“I would have dressed the Queen in a cape, it would have been prettier [than] her shawl.”
“The queen is mysterious but human, without mystery it would not do.”
“Princess Anne dressed like a man I find this very chic.”
